Hang on a sec. What search business? There’s no such thing as a “search business”. Nobody pays anybody for search results. Google has—and has always been—an advertising business. And Apple most certainly entered that.
Honestly I cannot fathom the Apple vs Google war. Android is the best thing ever to happen to iPhone. And iPhone is the best thing that could have happened to Android. Neither would be what they are today without the other.
When IBM introduced their first PC, Apple said “Welcome IBM. Seriously. […] We look forward to responsible competition”. That was a gentlemanly and civilized response to a new player in the market. Whatever happened to sportsmanship in Silicon Valley?
Apple and Google need each other. The world needs healthy, “responsible” competition.
Why can’t we all just… get along?
